About Dads Behaving Madly
Dads Behaving Madly is a registered UK charity (Charity Number: 1216750) dedicated to improving the mental health, wellbeing, and resilience of fathers, male carers, and their families across North Yorkshire and beyond.
Parenting, caring responsibilities, and everyday pressures can place an immense strain on mental health. All too often, men struggle in silence due to stigma, isolation, or a lack of accessible support. We exist to ensure that no dad or carer has to face those battles alone.
Through peer support, shared activities, open conversations, and practical assistance, we have created an inclusive community where blokes can drop their guard, talk openly, and build lifelong friendships.
Where Your Support Goes
Every time you play the Unity Lottery in support of Dads Behaving Madly, 50p of every £1 ticket goes directly into funding our frontline services.
Your regular contribution directly supports:
Peer-Led Mental Health & Wellbeing: Providing early intervention support, informal listening spaces, and signposting to help prevent men from reaching crisis point.
Accessible Activities & Sports: From weekly football sessions and surf days to archery and fitness recovery, giving dads healthy physical outlets and a positive focus.
Weekly Community Breakfast Clubs: Offering warm, welcoming drop-in sessions where dads and carers can connect over food, share advice, and combat isolation.
